According to survey more than half busiest ports of the world are situated in China.

Seven of the 10 biggest ports in the world by cargo volume are in China. The other three are in Singapore,the Netherlands and South Korea. Shipping through sea starts from a port and ends at a port. It means that standard container rate and less than container rate is port to port cargo.

Top busiest ports of the world are

Shanghai

Shanghai port is the worlds largest port.

It is an important port for international trade because it is  situated near to the numerous industrial units of adjacent Anhui, Jiangsu, Henan and Zhejiang provinces.

Shenzhen

Shenzen is another most important port of China because it is the entrance to Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta.

This port links  southern China to the world.

Hong Kong

The port of Hong Kong has a historical significance because it is a main ocean traffic hub for centuries.

The progressive international ideas and practices make it more economical.

Ningbo-Zhoushan

Ningbo-Zhoushan port is used mostly for the shipping of raw materials, manufactured goods cargo.

This port has great significance for import and export of China.

Qingdao

Qingdao port is situated on the Yellow Sea.

It entered into an association with the major port in South Korea and three other Chinese ports in order to produce a shipping and logistics center in North East Asia.

Guangzhou

Guangzhou port mostly transports things to and from neighboring Guangxi, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Sichuan and Yunnan Provinces.

The Guangzhou port transports many agricultural, industrial and manufactured products.

Tianjin

The most important port of China. Tianjin port is connected to 21 other adjacent cities and provinces through its dry port.

Tianjin is situated near to Beijing and the Northern central provinces, so  Tianjin is able to help areas from the very North West in Xinjiang, to the North East of Inner Neimenggu.

Dalian

Dalian is the largest port in North East China with links to ports in over 160 countries.

Dalian also serves ports in East Asia, North Asia and the Pacific Rim.

Xiamen

The port of Xiamen located in the side of Jiulongjiang River.

The Xiamen port  has over 68 shipping routes and shipping to over 50 countries.

Lianyungang

This is  one of the ports unlocked to foreign trade by the Qing.

It is one of  the biggest port world and largely serves the provinces of Shandong and Jiangsu.
